Coming 2026
Lenora Calderon wanted to design a prayer garden on an old urban lot that belonged to a local church. When she did, everything changed…
Quiet Place Gardens, five Christian novels about healing, friendship, romance, the beautiful craziness of church culture, and the unifying power of love. Oh yeah, and prayer gardens. Lots of prayer gardens.
“Jesus could have prayed anywhere, but he chose to find a spot away from the noise, away from the people, away from the normal. I hope this garden we’re building will be a place where those in need, those feeling alone, those who can’t seem to call to God through the noise, can come and find refreshment like Jesus did. In a digital world, perhaps we need a physical space set aside to talk to God more than ever before.” –Pastor Hayes, Watch the Almond Blossom
Yep, I did say a series of five, and yes, only four covers are here. Book five’s cover is yet to come, and honestly, I might change titles and covers of these four, but for now, enjoy what’s here and get ready for the new contemporary Christian romance series, Quiet Place Gardens, beginning summer/fall of 2026.
Lenora is fearful.
Jonathan is angry.
An empty urban lot might help them find their way.
Contractor Jonathan Lambert plans never to set foot in Havenwood Church again, not after being shunned for something he didn’t do. Maybe he won’t attend any church again.
But when his sister, Tawny, introduces him to Lenora Calderon, a beautiful young woman determined to turn the urban lot beside the church into a prayer garden–a woman who needs his help–he softens. After all, he started his career in landscaping, so why shouldn’t he take on this project?
The project. Because his yes has nothing to do with the lovely, outgoing, broken young woman who’s behind the garden vision. Nor does it have anything to do with the older couple and young pastor whose kindnesses sneak past Jonny’s anger and touch his secret desire for restoration.
It’s a job, he tells himself. A silly job, because who’s going to use a prayer garden? He’ll do the work, feel better about himself, and move on.
Famous last words…
Coming August 2026 (or thereabouts)
The Darkness had Weight...
Now business partners, Jonathan Lambert and Lenora Calderon take their first official job, installing a prayer garden in an abandoned Christian campground. The problem? The campground was closed when the director was arrested for abusing campers. The darkness over the property almost has weight.
Victims of the abuse think the place should disappear. One especially broken young man tries to burn it down. But when Jonathan befriends a victim, and the prayer gardeners from Havenwood Church begin to pray healing over the garden, everyone surrounding this property begins to find their lives changed, from the owners to the victims to Jonathan himself, who has to face the darkness that drove him from the church years ago.
Controversy and danger follow this garden from beginning to end as God answers the question: Can a broken place and all the broken people around it ever be redeemed for good?
