Add in a burglary related to the murder at the inn, and there’s enough danger and tension to tank their friendship before it starts. - Rhodes Dumont is one of those charming, eccentric characters who’s easy to love. He quickly became a reader favorite.
- Opposites attract trope.
- I did a deep dive on Regency period clothing, although in the end I didn’t use a lot of the actual names of the parts of Rhodes’s wardrobe.
- The series turned out to have two mysteries: Who killed Max? and What will the ministry of the carriage house be? Each book gets us one step closer to both answers.
