Jill's Notes

  • Both these characters started in Girls Aglow’s Drifting Home, although we don’t meet Nan until now.
  • Nan decides to go by her middle name, Janelle, early in the book. Yes, it’s symbolic.
  • I had to research horse-drawn carriages for this book. I do not have a mechanical brain, even for something as simple as a horse cart.
  • This is a book about seeing our victories and not only our defeats. More than once the Spirit whispered to me: “You’re listening to this, right, because you’re writing to yourself.” Yeah, most of my characters’ issues are personal. Apparently being a mess is good for an author.
