This Christmas, St. Ninian’s Sanctuary Retreat Center is filled to capacity, and the staff is worn. Jaelle and Leia Ramirez, daughters of the new airplane mechanic, are trying to find their way. Sheer exhaustion over their schedules is only making everyone’s problems worse.
Given carte blanche permission to decorate the island for the holidays, Jaelle sets in motion a series of events that will lead to adventure, danger, frustration, hope, and a special new Christmas tradition that will change the lives of both staff and guests, especially for Jeff, Ben, and Leia.

- I enjoyed the unlikely coupling of sweet Jaelle and older, world-weary Jeff. They complemented one another.
- Because I love writing teens, Leia and her rebellious antics were very satisfying.
- The characters became more complex than I’d expected, and peeling layers away turned out to be good for me personally. Sometimes I forget to look deeper in real life.
- I wrote this Christmas book and the Casa Flanigan Christmas book at the same time, in January of the year they released. Both series needed a good holiday story.
