Prompting Noah
The Snack Cake Chronicles
Does God forgive the bad boys? Should he?
When his parents die, wealthy Noah Oliver moves in with his aunt and uncle. His passion is art, and in his anger toward his distant, neglectful parents, he’s been spray-painting that art on the abandoned warehouses at the edge of town. He has no idea how to continue this under the watchful eye of his new guardians. Why do they care about his life and future when he barely cares himself?
Maddie Abelard, his new neighbor, gets sucked into his passions in her attempts to save him, risking her relationships, her reputation, even her life for a guy who doesn’t always seem worth it. Shedding her invisible skin and taking risks for someone else is new and uncomfortable, but once she starts, she can’t go back to who she was.
Unfortunately, as Maddie’s grandma says, illegal hobbies usually have a bad end. It’s a good thing God is a master at dramatic saves, bold mercy, and seeing the worth of those the world deems unredeemable.
The Snack Cake Chronicles, Christian young adult novels. Read them in any order; tales about growing up, growing in faith, and learning to love.
Jill's Notes
- I lost a reader or two because I showed mercy to a guy with a spray paint can.
- That complaint helped me write a better book description, which you can read above. I hadn’t realized the point of the story until that complaint.
- Noah is one of my more complex characters. He’s very human.
- I did a deep dive into (legal) urban wall murals for this book. Spray paint is most definitely not my medium, and they make it look easy.
- This book is in Kindle Unlimited.
