Beauty Like the Olive

Quiet Place Gardens Book Two

Cover of Beauty Like the Olive, a man walking toward a cabinNobody could forget.

Now business partners, Jonathan Lambert and Lenora Calderon take their first official job, the installation of a prayer garden in an abandoned Christian campground. The problem? The campground was closed when the director was arrested for molesting campers. The darkness over the property almost has weight.

Victims of the abuse think the place should disappear. One especially broken young man tries to burn it down. But when Jonathan befriends a victim, and the prayer gardeners from Havenwood Church begin to pray healing over the garden, everyone surrounding this property begins to find their lives changed, from the owners to the victims to Jonathan himself, who has to face the darkness that drove him from the church years ago.

Controversy and danger follow this garden from beginning to end as God answers the question: Can a broken place and all the broken people around it ever be redeemed for good?

Jill's Notes

  • Although this book takes place on a site where sexual abuse happened, it’s in the past, and details are never, ever made clear. I tread gently.
  • We get further into the characters’ stories here, but again, this book has a nice, satisfying conclusion.
  • This book will be in Kindle Unlimited.
